Since stay at home is the rule, at least here in Illinois our eating habits have gone a bit south…ugh! In defense of that statement is the movie Simply Irresistible.

A 1999 movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar: Sean Patrick Flanery plays Tom, the manager of a department store in Manhattan. He may or may not be falling in love against his will with heiress Amanda Shelton (Sarah Michelle Gellar). Tom resists Amanda, who has just inherited a restaurant because he believes she might have magical powers.

Traditional Wedding Cake for Two

Over the past summer, Tim and I attended two weddings. Weddings have cake right??? Wrong!!! Where was my slice of white, almondy, perhaps filled with raspberry filling cake?? Apparently I would have to make it myself……. Traditional Wedding Cake for Two ……because I wanted wedding cake damn it!!!!!

These days weddings may have a small cutting cake, but the trend is cupcakes, or dessert bars…..what?????? OK, call me old-fashioned, but I want there to be a gigantic white cake, with a bubbly fountain, and a bride and groom perched on top. The kind that requires a few of the brides friends trying to figure out how to cut said cake.
