Quick, easy, and with a smoky, sweet flavor……if this sounds good to you Spicy Sweet Corn Chowder is for you!

Spicy Sweet Corn Chowder

Sometimes the best laid plans don’t come to be. My nephew and his girlfriend were going to come for dinner Friday night. Steaks, potatoes, and sweet corn. Well it didn’t work out as we planned 🙁

Tim and I still had the steaks, but we added a salad and called it dinner. I had sweet corn and no plans for it……or did I????

Using up sweet corn for four, Tim and I would be eating sweet corn all next week. Last year I made a Corn Chowder and posted it here at What the Forks for Dinner?  Spicy Sweet Corn Chowder is a ramped up version of my original recipe.

My first recipe for What the Forks for Dinner? was French Onion Soup. Philly Cheese Steak Soup is a take from that first recipe.

PHILLY CHEESE STEAK SOUP 1When I posted that first recipe, I was in seventh heaven. It was the start of a dual dream for Tim and I. My love of cooking, his love of photography, and wanting to share those loves with each other and with others.

Almost four years later, we are still loving the process of sharing our loves with each other, and you. We look back and see how far we have come. 335 recipes, not including this one, and growing from just a few page views a day, to now averaging over 600 page views a day. We have even had a few days over 1000!! Continue reading “Philly Cheese Steak Soup”
