White Trash Graham Bars…..

White Trash Graham Bars

Now, when we were growing up we were probably considered white trash….after all we lived not only in the country , but in a trailer……that’s right I am trailer trash!
My Mom used to make us little sandwich cookies from graham crackers and frosting……we thought they were the best.

Well, these are like that….. only better. Ok…..maybe not as easy as the ones Mom made. After all, what is easier than opening a can of frosting and spreading it on graham crackers……..

While White Trash Graham Bars take a little more effort , but they still are super easy. Only 4 ingredients that you probably already have, so you can make them today.

I know, I keep going on about things to take along, but it’s that time of year when you need stuff at the ready……picnics, family reunions, cookouts, even the beach.

And kids are still home on summer break and these would make great afternoon snacks.

There are many recipes for the original “White Trash Bars” all over the internet, and they are made with ritz crackers. For some reason ……not sure how the mind works sometimes……not at all sometimes when you are older…..lol….but, these reminded me of those little sandwich cookies, so I subbed the graham cracker for the ritz.

Back to easy…….crush the graham crackers in a large ziplock bag, ( I used a small meat mallet ……stress reducer) add the toffee bits…..I used the ones without the chocolate. Except on top….I did end up adding them for flare…..and chocolate!! Dump the mixture into an 8X8 inch baking dish.

Pour a can of sweetened condensed milk over the top. Mix it up…….that’s right you mix it right in the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
