  • 1 pillsbury pie crust
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 4 medium apples cored and diced
  • Crisp:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oat
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • Special Equipment:
  • 6 mason jar rings with lids

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add diced apples,lemon juice and toss. Set aside.
  3. For the topping: Combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and butter in a bowl, stir in pecans. Mix well. Set aside.
  4. Unroll pie crust and place on a lightly floured surface. Using the mason ring as a cookie cutter cut six circles from pie crust.
  5. Spray mason rings and lids with non stick cooking spray and place on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  6. Place the pie circles in each of the prepared lids. Divide the apple filling among the rings. Cover apple mixture with crips mixture dividing between each ring.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from oven.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and drizzle with caramel topping.
  9. Serve in mason ring or pop out onto a plate. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
