Overnight 3 Ingredient Cinnamon French Toast Loaf

Weekends are busy! Lots to do and take care of! Who has time for a decadent breakfast???? You do!!

Working all week at a 9-5 leaves the weekends to take care of……well everything. Errands, paying bills(ugh!), grocery shopping, and a million other things that get put to the side during a hectic work week.

On that last hectic day of the week, Friday, take literally less than 10 minutes, probably even less than 5 minutes and make Overnight 3 Ingredient Cinnamon French Toast Loaf.

Before Christmas I noticed that the folks at Pepperidge Farms had a new line of breads called Swirl. Apple, Strawberry, Pumpkin, Brown Sugar, and Cinnamon…there are several other flavors, but the plain Cinnamon caught my eye.

When I was a kid cinnamon toast was one of our favorites. I was hoping for a trip down memory lane….I was not disappointed. Swirls of the perfect amount of cinnamon in a bread made for toasting and slathering with butter.

I discovered Tim also likes the toasted cinnamon bread, and in a passing comment he said “This would make some great french toast”….and it did.

So I got to thinking about how messy french toast is……and how many dishes you use making it. I must brag at this point ladies…..I am married to “The Dish Man”….yes, thats right, I am married to a man who LOVES to do dishes…..I am truly blessed!

For those of you not so blessed ……you know what I mean about the dishes. There are a lot of recipes for overnight french toast on Pinterest, but they all require slicing bread and making the egg/milk mixture with extra spices, and flavors.

Problem solved……the loaf of cinnamon swirl bread is already sliced, just coat a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray, and place the loaf of bread into the pan. How much easy could it be???

Next step equally easy, just whisk eggs and milk together. Again how much easier??? Pour the egg/milk mixture over the loaf of bread, cover with plastic wrap and pop it in the frig. Again with the easy!!!

No need for any extra anything….the bread already had all the cinnamon flavor baked right in. Two simple steps and you are on your way to a delicious breakfast. Now you are off to bed while visions of french toast dance in your head.

You awake to a beautiful day, knowing you are half way to that perfect weekend breakfast. Preheat the oven, uncover your bread and pop into the oven for 40-45 minutes while you shower and get ready for the busy day ahead!
You are ready and so is your breakfast, just slice and top with your favorite syrup and french toast toppings. I love a little whipped topping on mine…guilty pleasure.

Start the weekend off with a delicious and super easy make ahead breakfast. Overnight 3 Ingredient Cinnamon French Toast Loaf…you are welcome;)
